Message From the President
It is my distinct honor to welcome you to the Shelby Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. website.
As we begin this biennium, our theme, “Keep the Momentum Going,” reflects both our appreciation for the strong foundation laid by those who came before us and our commitment to building an even greater future through purposeful leadership and meaningful service. We are focused on sustaining excellence while embracing innovation, collaboration, and measurable impact throughout Shelby, Chilton, and Bibb Counties.
Guided by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, our chapter is committed to developing programs that empower communities, strengthen partnerships, and create lasting opportunities for those we serve. We believe that true service is intentional, strategic, and transformative and that every initiative should leave our communities stronger than we found them.
Our members are accomplished women united by a shared passion for public service, sisterhood, scholarship, and social action. Together, we remain dedicated to expanding our reach, cultivating meaningful relationships, and creating sustainable solutions that positively impact generations to come.

Who We Are
Chartered on April 28, 2024, with 95 Charter members, the Shelby Area Alumnae Chapter serves Shelby, Chilton, and Bibb counties in central Alabama. With Sisterhood as the Center of our Service, our motto is “Expanding our Reach, Making our Sisterhood Stronger.” We are convinced that the community will know exactly who we are.
